I hate posts without pictures, but there a few things my kids have been doing lately that i just find too cute and i don't wanna forget them...
Mack:
She. talks. back. now, this isn't really cute in the moment cause she basically just mocks me... but much to her dismay, it just gets her more time outs. But, i guess i had this one coming. i talked back a lot to my parents. Sorry mom. Mack tells me all day, i "have two seconds to do {insert anything} or you'll go to time out", or " i'll spank your bummy if you don't listen", "go to your room!"
she also LOVES saying, "i have an idea!" or " i have a SURPRISE for you!"
she asks to go to church everyday. not kidding. she will roam the house "mom, i LOVE church. do YOU love church?" "i wanna go to nursery. When i wake up from my nap, can we go to church?" We are now trying to teach her that church is once a week and it's only on sundays. So now she asks if it's sunday. and even as we are leaving church, she asks if we can go. Let's just hope that enthusiasm continues for life:)
She has a new found favorite show, "Little Einsteins" and wants me to sing the theme song ALL.DAY.LONG.
* this is all i can think of at the moment*
little man:
he is a HOOT.
If i say we are going to the store or say go get your shoes, he RUNS. he gets me his shoes and comes and sits in my lap {turns around and backs himself up and plops in my lap} and giggles as i squish his fat foot into his shoes.
he will say "whoo whoo whoo" when asked what a doggy says... but also if you try any other animal.. he will just stick with doggy.
he is starting to eat real meals like spaghetti and the like with his fork and doing pretty good.. very messy but pretty good. and he even keeps it in a bowl for MOST of his meal.
he has started to know what clean up means... this makes me so proud that my cleaning ocd is wearing off:) I ask mack to help me clean up the toys {cause i didn't think e would get it yet} but man, was i wrong. He will grab the blocks all over the room and bring them to me with a smile and giggle. he puts the books back on the shelf and the toys back in the bucket. it's awesome.
He only has two more canines to break and he's got his full mouth and we SHOULD be good with with teething for a bit {unless he decides to get his 2 year molars early like mack did} they are on the surface and swollen so i'm hoping they come soon cause the snot, drool and whiny baby are starting to wear on my patience:)
You have the cutest kids ever! I love their sleeping positions. I was laughing out loud when I saw those pictures. Hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteyou DID talk back. but you never got in trouble. i still remember standing there with dan {after we had both moved out} when you told mom to shut up and we both waited for the wrath of mom to emerge and it never did. we were shocked and hurt. we so thought you had it coming!
ReplyDeleteAaaaw, I don't mind picture less posts. The kids are growing so quickly! And Goio got into Little Einsteins at that age too. All of the toys are ridiculously expensive though and hard to find. Boo.
