christmas 2010...

We were definitely spoiled this Christmas.  and i took far too many picture to load one at a time, so collages it is.  My kids and I went to CA on December 7th, Ed joined us the 18th, and we all came home the 23rd!  It was a great trip, lots of fun and family.  I am organizing those pictures right now, hopefully a post soon about all our fun adventures, but for now.. christmas at home in Douglas.

I read the kids "the night before christmas" on christmas eve.  They were in their christmas jammies. It was a rough night with sick kiddos (both have horrible coughs, e is breaking his top two teeth, mack is still having separation anxiety...so let's just say there was lots of screaming and pooping in trying to get them to go to bed), then we woke up {actually slept in} and opened presents as a family.  We all got lots of fun things... and  many things not picture.. ie the wonderful camera used to take all these pictures (Nikon D3000) and my fantastic Silhouette machine.  Some of my personal favorites were my boots from ed :)  the quilt margie made us, and an awesome personal preparedness book my parents put together {pretty sweet idea if you ask me}.

But i have to say.. my sister takes the cake on giving the best gift ever.  So growing up, my mom had made the coolest nativity EVER {seriously, don't even try to tell me you had a cooler one, i won't believe you.}  Now that we are all grown and out of the house, things like that my mom has set aside to give her kids..but how do you chose who gets the nativity? you can't split it up.  Then last year, my mom did it. She chose.  She chose right, but i was still sad cause it wasn't me {selfish much? Yup.}  But i wasn't mad cause it didn't go to any of my siblings.  It went to Leah.  Perfect.  So what does my amazing sister do?  She freaking made me a new one!!!!!! do you know how long this takes?  i'm sure she took the whole year.  People, these are out of fabric, and batting and beads to weigh them down to stand... seriously, how much cooler could my sister get??  enjoy.

after all that, we had nice christmas naps....

Merry Christmas...from Ed, Kelli, Mack and Little E!

  1. cute nativity. It is hard to choose who gets what when there are a lot of people in the family. Next best thing is to skip a generation and go to the cute ones that make us smile.
