I finally had the time to get mack in for her one year check up. She is doing great with growing.
19 lbs 6 oz. (20%)
2 feet 5 inches (29 in) tall (50%..so for all those who think she's short..like me.. apparently she is normal)
can't remember her head... i think 45 cm (50%)
{l-r: getting weighed, playing while waiting for dr. john, getting checked out by dr. john}
We had a little set back at this appointment. Mackenzie decided to wake up at 3 am with a temp of 102.7, so we got medicine in her and cuddled her and luckily we already had a dr. appt. for today so i just had her checked out for her temp as well. (by morning it was back to her normal of 99..she runs high). SHe was supposed to get her one year shots and a blood draw, but because she had a cough and a fever the dr. thought it best to wait another week till she got better. When checking her out he found her first ear infection! Now i feel really bad cause she may have had it on the plane and that's why she was yelling at me. Poor thing. so we made our first trip to the pharmacy and she is on antibiotics. she is still so sad, but hopefully will be back to happy mack in no time!
anyway, updates on what she does at a year (and a few weeks)
walks like a champ.. and tries to run
says doggie and duckie (sound similar but she knows the difference)
has enough hair for a pony on top :) (thanks mare)
her new found "trick" she can 80% of the time point to her nose when asked
we love you mack!

Cute; I love the doctor's office pictures. It is fun to see her get bigger. I'm sorry to hear about the ear infection! My kids have gotten them without me knowing, too. Sometimes they just don't give you much indication of it!
