October

oh October.
You usually are my favorite month, but Arizona decided to disappoint this year and stay in the high 90s all. month. long. ugh.

Luckily we got a little break to Utah to get a tease of some beautiful fall weather.
We also got some visits from some our favorite GA cousins, met new cousins in Utah, finally got to spend time with grandma Karen, had enough croup to last us all winter, got dressed up and got to tour another, beautiful temple!

Utah.
We finally made the long drive that we haven't braved for 4 years.
We got to do lots of stuff and see people we missed.
It was a quick trip, but just enough to give us the Utah fix we were needing.
Ed got his Crown Burger.
I got to "run" a 5k with my mom and sister in law for team Leah Bean.  Froze my butt off but loved being with my mama on the trails again.
We introduced bubba to the joy of a shmoj mashage train.  Ahh, Shmoj Mashages, I miss them.
I got to spend some time with my very best friends, who I miss so much.
We spent some time on the lovely University of Utah campus.
E got croup and I ran out of meds so off to the ER we went.  He was the happiest croup patient they had ever seen and they loved him.
It being 3:30 am when we left for the hospital, I was not awake and backed into a car. Ugh.  As if my situation needed to be worse.  Thankfully the owner called me back and said to not worry about it and he didn't even care.  I got lucky that it was a teen in a beater car anyway:/

We got to spend some time with Grandma Karen as well down at Thanksgiving Point, and had a blast!

now that the lovely Tara Huish lives in Utah, I jumped on the chance to have her take our family pictures cause we just love her.  Now, this was the day we left Utah, bubba and I had gotten home from the ER about 4 hours before this.
No one slept good.
No one wanted to be good sports.
So to get any of these was a sheer miracle.
and i love them.

We rounded out the month with Halloween festivities.
We had an Elsa, a Thor, an Iron Man, and a darling Clark Kent.
We went to the ward trunk or treat and called it good for activities.
We decided to take the kids to the Phoenix Temple Open House on Halloween, and if you ask me, that was WAY better than spending the evening trick or treating.
We also got to go to the Marana Pumpkin Patch again while Bryan and Aubrey were here, and the Fears came down too.  It was an evening of fun with family!
