Halloween. Mack as been talking about Halloween for months, not really knowing WHAT it is, just that she got to dress up and she wanted to be Snow White. Thankfully my wonderful sister in law, Marisha, already HAD a Snow White costume that would fit Mackenzie. Then my mother in law, while cleaning out her house, found a utah football uniform that she bought for E back when he was born and was waiting to give it to him...so his costume was easy. Then D.. i did try to stuff him into the frog, he was just too big.. so we made him be Edward's Football...E does like to toss D around. :)
So first up, Church Halloween Carnival on Wednesday. We {the kids} got dressed up and got pictures and headed to the festivities....
We met friends there {mack and kara are so cute, it kills me} E helped daddy bob for apples. they each played games to win treats. There was even one the adults were struggling on, a soda pop ring toss with glow stick neclaces... don't worry, mack made it, WITH OUT HELP! i was proud.
We came home that night went to bed, only to wake up a few hours later to Mack COMPLETELY sick and throwing up. LOTS. it was sad. She was sick for two days. She felt a little better so on Saturday we went to the Howl-o-ween party at the ZOO. The line was ridiculous, but our company was good so we were fine. We thought the kids would love it, but apparently even Disney Princesses are scary to Mack. She spent most of the time in the stroller, crying. It was ridiculous.
Anyway, we got home and got the kids in bed. I was feeling really thirsty and drank my whole water bottle, only i don't think it ever made it to my belly. I felt weird and Just went to bed feeling like i wanted to puke. Now mind you, i don't puke. i've only puked like 4 times in my LIFE! I woke up again, to mack screaming, only this time it was concern for her brother. "Mom, HELP! Quick! Bubby needs you. He's throwing up! Lots. HURRY MOM! he NEEDS YOU!" i ran down to their room, and sure enough my boy who was fine when we put him to bed had nastiness all over his bed. i got them both settled in a makeshift bed up in the living room {yes, mack wouldn't sleep in her room alone} and went to go clean up his room. i dry heaved a few times but nothing. i went back to sleep to be woken by mack every time E puked {he just rolled over to a clean spot and went to sleep but she was concerned}. i didn't sleep all night and FINALLY at 4 am it was my turn. i felt so much better after and went to sleep. Ed didn't hear any of this and got great sleep thankfully cause he took care of all of us on sunday. i was weak and light headed and on and off queasy. That night i was much better... then delcan puked before bed. GREAT! i kept the monitor up loud that night to hear, but i heard nothing. I went to get D monday morning and to my surprise he was COVERED in dry puke. i felt horrible! seriously, it was everywhere---head to toe! So monday was declan's turn to be sad. and Ed felt sick when he got home from work that night and ended up calling in sick to work on Wednesday. So now that it's hit everyone, i hope it's gone. we still don't have a clue where it came from!

All of this sadness for such a happy holiday!!! The kids looked adorable though and I'm glad you at least had good company for the zoo thing. Good to know not to waste our time on it next year :)
