so for the last 18 months {or more} mack has had random health anomalies that apparently can't be figured out by drs then they randomly go dormant. A horrible night cough is one of them... like horrible hacking, gagging, puking, you name it. Drs always ask me if we have a history of asthma, i say no. then they never do anything. FINALLY with TWO kids hacking at night and a cough for 3 months straight, the asthma question came up once again, and a nebulizer and steroids were FINALLY ordered. not that i wish asthma on my kids but i would like a treatment to help them sleep! so treatment one happened last night. i was dreading it due to our experience with e's croup... mack volunteered to go first and liked it till the machine turned on.. then she cried. it was a long 10 minutes! then e.. grabbed the mouth piece, shoved it in and just sucked on it for 10 minutes. it was awesome! he did great! maybe it was the mask that made last time so hard! anyway, i have to give them treatments two times a day for a few days, and this morning went much better...as you can see...
mack complied.
this was e last night...
our lovely evening...

I am glad things are going in the right direction of medicine for them now. We will miss you guys at Christmas!! Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteEthan has the same thing... I think. ha. We tried the nebulizer and had to use steroids last month. It's so awful. I had to stop using the nebulizer treatments though because Ethan is allergic to the meds. Or maybe just intolerant. Not sure. But about an hour after the treatment he has awful stomach pain and either throws up fifty times or has awful diarrhea. No good. I hope it all works for you!! It is one of the most scary things when you feel like your child can't breath. Miss you Kell!
