..this little cutie turned one on May 27th!
I had all the intentions in the world of being a good mom. giving him a great birthday party, surrounded by friends, getting spoiled, {you know, what i did for mack's 1st birthday!} but no. i failed. but he's one so he won't hold it against me, right? His birthday was somewhat overshadowed by our move to tucson. We moved to an apartment where boxes are still everywhere cause i have to sort through to find what we need, what can go in storage, where i packed what, etc. so i woke up on friday {thankfully after both kids sleeping in..} and hurried to make him a birthday shirt since i totally slacked on that one! Ed works mids right now {11p-7a...but didn't get home till 11:30a!!!} we had some friends from douglas come up... and we all headed to the zoo... and this is how the birthday boy was ALL DAY!
..my little happy man. ps. not the smartest thing to go to tucson zoo mid day in the summer... yeah, it was HOT. mack has never been to the zoo and she LOVED it! e loved learning how to drink out of a sports top on a drink and was very good at it! Ed was a trooper with how tired he was. and we are glad the swyers came with us!
we came home, swyers went home. ed went to sleep. then i took mack and e swimming with the smiths. we splashed and played and had fun. then we went to the tot lot {aka fancy word for playground at the apts} and sang happy birthday, ate cake and had fun.
his official photo shoot will be taken soon.. i just need ed to have a day off since e is so wiggly and moving. But we love this little guy! he's so fun and such a happy baby. he is standing really well on his own, not walking...yet but has taken one step, twice:) He has 9 teeth {working on 3 more molars.. one finally popped through!} he gives the best hugs and kisses. waves hello and goodbye and says "uh-oh", ma-ma, da-da...the rest are mumbles. he loves shaking his head no and blinking to talk in Morse code:)

his onezie turned out cute! you did a great job- the zoo looked like so much fun! I really want to go to one soon- e looked like he enjoyed his cake, its hard to see in the college with all the pictures but it looked cute- was there a train? anywho i bet little e had fun and it sounds like you did a lot of stuff for his birthday even if it wasn't as big as macks party. good thing he is one and doesn't realize stuff like that yet.
