oh silly mack...

So mackenzie still choses to be difficult when going to sleep.  i swear, we've tried everything.  It also doesn't help that she got a cold, her rash worsened AND she got an ear infection. awesome.  so i've been tried to be strict {but nice} about bed time and sleep time.

i'm nice because i will sit and rock her till she barely falls asleep then lay her down, she's been doing good with this and will stay asleep...but still wake up at night.  

Enter: yesterday.

She was horrible..ALL DAY! i seriously wanted to sell her, maybe give her away for a bit. she cried or yelled or screamed no or flailed her arms and legs about throwing tantrums each time she didn't get what she wanted.

i was dreaded bed time.  

she even got sent to her room for like 15 minutes before bed time for not listening to me and screaming in e's ear when i was trying to put him to bed.

so i regrouped. let her out of her room. we started the after-bath time routine.

we combed our hair {she likes to comb mine now too...yay!}

we brushed our teeth.

we grabbed baby and blanky and jumped up in the rocking chair and read some fun books for 15 minutes {ps when you ask her where something is now, say, "where's baby?" she sits and says "Hmm. Hmm." then excitedly says "there she is!" so cute}

we called daddy at work and said "nigh night"

we said prayers {mommy pleading for some sleep}

we turned on our lullaby music ever so softly and rocked with mommy to rest.

i hear the congestion snores and decided that tonight i would lay her down on her belly to sleep and see if that helps {since her bum hurts her from her rash}

she said "momma" once and was fast asleep. 

i hate her noisy door so i slowly tried to close it.. and it made the stupid snap noise!  she cried "momma" about 2 times and was out!

success!!!!!!

maybe it was the belly sleeps, cause she slept all night!  didn't hear a peep til 7 am!  which i ignored for just a minute to get my energy up to go get her {don't laugh 7 is still early when you've gotten up with a baby at night:) } anyway, i didn't hear her again so i went back to sleep...8 am rolled around!  i got out of bed to go check on her... 

and this is what i found.

i wonder why she hates her bed so much.

i feel like i need to make the chairs in her room super comfy so she at least has some good nights in there without a kink in her neck!

{i actually think she was in bed all night and moved here when i didn't get her in the am, cause there is a new book on the floor that wasn't there when we went to bed....}
