ECM III...

Edward Charles Marshall III...born May 27, 2010 @ 7:58 am.  6 lbs 13 oz. 20 in long.

I went in for an induction bright and early (had to be there at 6 am) Mack was so kind to me the night before and decided to wake up at 1, 2, and 3... thank you mack:)  so i was wide awake and ready to go when we left at 4:30!

We got there and told the dr. i only had till 9 am to get this baby out so we needed to get things going, Ed had to be at work in Tucson to take a test.  Thankfully, my dr. was in early for a c-section and agreed to break my water before he delivered the other baby.  I started pitocin at 6:30 am, got my water broken at 7 am, and pushed for about 10 minutes, and at 7:58, out popped E! {he is indeed a boy, ed was thrilled to be sure of it.}

Me just getting pitocin...{which i realyl never want again cause it made everything hurt twice as much and they kept it going after so that i wouldn't bleed out again.. it sucked, and hurt, but happy to say, i did it all natural again.. even with a possibly fractured tailbone}

the nurses were all shocked at how fast i went, 1 hour 33 minutes to be exact from the times they started everything.  Ed and i timed from water breaking and told the dr. we weren't lying when we told him my baby would have been born in the parking lot had my water broken at home.  Dr. Kacenga told us to stop having kids till we lived near a hospital:)  We both agreed. 

Dr. Kacenga {sad i didn't get a good picture with him and E.. this is the best shot.} He thought he had time to get the bulb syringe to clean out E's mouth before the rest of him came, but sorry doc.. i just kept pushing.

little man... looks almost identical to mack when she was born.. little darker hair and little different mouth. {ed's phone has a picture of mack and e at day one and i'll try to post them to see if you can guess who is who}

getting dressed up for his pictures... i made this onsie cause mack had a cute one personalized for her at birth.. but this wasn't as cool as the one she had.. i need to get lessons from brit and boop.

we were never all four at the hospital at once, so here is us with little e...

me.. 38 weeks.. this is tmi i know, but i would again like to express that i think any girl who wants to enlarge a certain area is CRAZY!!!! it sucks and it hurts.  But i'll sacrifice for E, i guess.

We are home now and doing good.  E had to spend one night in the nursery on antibiotics and IV fluids.. for lame reasons due to NO ONE asking me what he was doing during the day.  But oh well, he is doing fine and we are so glad to be home... now lets see how i function as a mom of two babies!
