.. and i know people have been asking for pictures... so here you go..
i love the foot shot...
this view always creeps me out...
love the profile views...
ed's favorite shot... DEFINITELY a boy :)
This was one thing that was obvious.. this boy is not shy at all.. he let everything just hang out. He moves A LOT less than mack did--nowhere near as active...so i tend to forget i am pregnant most of the time. The whole ultrasound he was just kinda chill and not moving like the nurse wanted him too, but enough that she could get what she needed and get us some good pictures.
Now to answer some questions we keep getting.
YES! this was a planned baby. we really did mean to have our kids 16 months apart.
YES! i really did wait till 20 weeks to tell family. (okay so maren found out at 15 cause i couldn't keep it from my sister)
YES! we have a name, i really can't win the battle if i tried, so i don't try.. it's edward charles marshall III
NO, i haven't been sick or anything.. i know most you ladies hate me, but i guess i got good genes??? and speaking of good genes, i am carrying in my back once again (which could be good or bad depending on how you wanna look at it) so sometimes i still can hide it if i really want to.. but i love the bump so i try to poke it out:)
WHY did we wait so long to tell? we thought it would be fun to surprise people.. we weren't doing it to hurt people and keep it from them out of spite or anything... just wanted to keep it to ourselves.. and it would have been super easy since we don't live by anyone.. i mean we already hid it from everyone i saw on my utah trip in october.. ed's parents at thanksgiving...ed's brother at christmas.. but then the bump started being a little harder to disguise come 20 weeks so we told my mom when she was in Tucson, so then we just decided to tell all family. (i know not everyone cares about this explaination)
Anyway, here are the bump shots i have been taking that no one has been seeing:)
7 weeks.. my first appt. and for those curious, i ditched the douche-y dr. and changed to the one that delivered mackenzie.. we like him SO much better.
12 weeks
16 weeks
20 weeks...when we found out it's a boy... and ed has never smiled bigger in his life :)

yeah for bump pictures! man I think we both carry in the back really well- most people don't know im that far along either. Love the ultrasound pics- although I dont really see the ITs a Boy one but i will take your word for it. the foot on is sooo cute! fun stuff yeah for babies!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that is so exciting!! Congrats!! You totally stole my idea. :) We have planned for the next one not to tell anyone untill 20 weeks too! So fun!! Are you going to call him Ed or edward, or something else?
ReplyDeleteCongrats! That's super exciting! Boys are the best! I love them! Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeletejust had to say it on your blog...congratulations guys. we are so excited for you. Glad you get to have one of each (boy and girl) they each are so much fun to experience.
ReplyDeletestill so weird. so fun and exciting, but so weird. :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Congratulations! That is going to be one lucky boy. He's getting great parents and a fun sister. I like the name you chose.
ReplyDeleteI think you'll like having kids at that spacing. I liked 19 months a lot, so 16 will be tougher than that, but you can definitely do it. The best part is that there won't be jealousy, because after a few days, she won't be able to remember when he wasn't there!
congrats! i admit that maren spilled the beans to me when i saw her in sunnyvale. but i promised to be hush hush! so excited you are having a boy... they are oh so fun! i might be a little biased though ;)
ReplyDeleteso what will call III to differentiate? t'is a proud moment for a dad to hear re: son! i still remember going over to our dr's office afterward so excited & he wasn't phased since he has 5 boys of his own:) fun pics...you're good to document!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know you were pregnant! CONGRATS!!! and Yay! for a BOY!!! How fun!
