happy new year....

For new years we went to the Hernadez's house for some fun with friends.  They just love mackenzie and even gave her this new ride on for her christmas present. she loves it! The other little kids were a little too excited to push her on it, and around corners so we quickly put it away till we got home.  But she loves running around with it at home (ps. her eyes are always closed cause for some reason she can't keep them open with a flash...)

next on our list of events.... my birthday!  Now, i have hated, well disliked my birthday for 10 years now.  i haven't REALLY celebrated one since my 15th birthday...albeit entirely my fault for this happening.  But this year, i decided that i should stop being a brat and just enjoy the day not matter what.  so that's what i did.  I woke up (after a WONDERFUL sleeping in.. thank you mackenzie for sleeping in)... and ed cooked me breakfast.  then we played some friendly wii bowling (ed is very competitive.. so by friendly i mean, serious bowling.)  Then we went and ran some errands.  Ed even surprised me by not going to work!  He took a sick day just to stay home with us... awww.  Then we went to lunch at the chinese place here (i know random that there is chinese food in mexico.. granted it's not the greatest, but what is when you have asian star to compare it to?)  anyway, then later in the day we headed over to our friends the Everetts.  they invited us over for dinner and cake.  it was wonderful.  we talked and played and watched momma mia.  mack got worn out and had SO much fun playing with her buddies jack and mitch.  It was a wonderful birthday.  Thanks for everyone making my day such a good one.  25, not such a bad age:)
