We started out our month by going and cheering ed on in his pig bowl flag football game up in tucson. It is different law enforcement teams that come out and play.. you each bring a toy to donate and play for fun...well actually it's a very serious matter. They have been practicing for months! but it paid off... they got 3rd place! They lost to the reigning champions in the semi-finals.
Ed was a quarterback.. that is him (closest to the big pole) right after a throw.
despite many injures...including multiple players icing various legs, arms or shoulders, ed getting hit in the jaw and kicked in the knee.. and worst of all mack getting hit in the face with the ball (so sad but she is okay) we had loads of fun!
Next, later that same day we were in tucson, uncle bryan came to visit us from georgia. Oh how mackenzie loved seeing him...she didn't waste time getting comfy and napping with him.
we also tried out an early christmas present from grandma marshall...mack didn't know what was going on at first...
but she loves her new bike trailer and now we can all go on family bike rides in safety:)
ed pulling mack around the neighborhood.
next, douglas had a carnival-like santa party this last saturday. we went to check it out and to let mack meet santa... big mistake...
she hates him. she was so happy until ed let go of her and she freaked out and lunged for ed to get her...she got scared when we would see pictures of santa the rest of the day too...maybe next year she will change her mind.
we also got to go on a hayride around the town of douglas at this carnival. mack loved it.
we decided to try out our vintage clothes after seeing how dang cute cousin leah looked in hers... so here it is. This was my dress worn when i was 11 months old in my 1985 family picture... still in perfect condition 24 years later! thanks for saving it mom! i tried to recreate her hair to look like mine did, but she is lacking in the hair department.. i wasn't.
we can't wait to celebrate our first christmas with mack and watch her attack all the paper and boxes...she was spoiled by grandparents this year.. but thanks... cause then we didn't have to get her anything:)
Awww. She's so darn cute Kell! And my favorite is the picture of her in the bike trailer thingy. So funny! Her little eyes are so huge. :) Hope you have a Merry Christmas! I've been super busy but have intended to write you an email soon. Maybe after Christmas???
ReplyDeletelooks like all the cousins in the same age category have similar feelings toward Santa or maybe just his helpers:) Luke & Paige weren't amused by our attempts to pose with the imposter on our Christmas Cruise nor @ Nordstrom nor @ Cactus Lights--guess it's not the season to be jolly?! mean moms!
ReplyDeletepookie is getting soooo big. Still as cute as ever, though.
