still 9 months....

okay, i am sorry in advance if this post is a little mean an whiny, but seriously, i have a right to.

i went to my 38 week check up. My blood pressure was a little high (actually really high for my norm...) anyway, so they decided to send me to go get some labs done and be monitored at the hospital.. i was excited cause i was like "oh, they will for sure keep me" because if you recall, when i got sent the last time, he told me if i was at least 36 weeks they wouldn't stop my labor, just deliver me.

Anyway, i got checked.. and (tmi i know) i am dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced.. and in labor. What does my lame A doctor do? HE SENDS ME HOME! and to top it off.. wants me on bed rest for the next week.. WHAT THE?!?!?! why is he trying to stop labor now.. they keep telling me this is so far advanced for a first baby and that they are surprised i am like this but yet being a week and a half early isn't okay.. but back when it was 36 weeks.. that would have been okay?

let's just say i was very upset leaving the hospital. i know i need patience and i know babies come when they come.. but really.. my dr. could careless about family history or the fact that i live an hour away or that a majority of the time, i have to drive myself.. even if in labor. today would have been perfect for us.. but oh well.... i will be going on very long walks the next few days--no way am i staying on bed rest!.. and ps i don't want comments about following dr. orders.. don't mess with an emotional pregnant lady.... :)
