..that after a week of baby i don't blog enough...so at the request of many.. here are a few more updates..
..but as per future requests..i am still sore and not the most mobile so they won't be super frequent but i will update...
mackenzie's first trip...we took her to the pediatrician for her first check up... she did great. her head is in the 25th % and her body and length are in the 50th %.. and she looks healthy and eating and sleeping great.. she goes for about 3-4 hour stints at night and so i only have to get up once to twice.. it's been nice to actually get some sleep.
after the pediatrician, we went up to tucson to go pick my mom up from the airport. YEA!!! While up there we took advantage of a big city and made a costco run andtook kenz to her first fast food place... (i know its only been a week, but who can resist in 'n out??)

other than that outing, we pretty much just roam from the crib to the chair to the couch and back again and again and again... but i love every minute of it. Sadly ed has gone back to work.. we got spoiled with him home for a week.. he is a wonderful helper! we are really glad my mom is here right now too cause she is helping out a ton too.. THANKS!!!

we woke up to two inches of snow the other morning.. and the dogs loved it.. conner isn't quite sure what to do...
we sleep alot.. i miss my nice, comfy, warm bed, but hey.. right now if sleeping with me or ed gets her to sleep for 4-5 hours... i am all for it:)
i often walk out to this picture... ed relieves me so i can shower and go get things done that i want to and i come back and he is sleeping the second he holds her.. so cute.
in her animal jammies that i love.. but are far to large for her.. i just wanted to try them for fun...
her first ride in her car seat.. this was on the way home from the hospital.. she is a champ in the car.. which is nice since you have to drive for ages to get to places around here...
anyway, i realize that many of these are not too close up of her.. i will work on that..give me time, she is opening her eyes more and more each day so we can catch some good ones.. but for now.. hopefully this is good...
She is so beautiful! You look great as well. If ever you guys make it up to Phoenix let me know, we should get together.

Oh she is beautiful...see a lot of Ed in her! I am so glad your mom is there to love her and help you get some rest...love the pics of you and Ed sleeping...isn't that the truth after a baby is born...sleep WHEN and WHERE you can!

ReplyDeleteShe is so cute!! I am glad you are getting SOME sleep, maybe not what you would ideally hope for, but 4 hours of uninterrupted is better than 2 right? I hope your feeling ok! I wish I could see her in person. I am glad your mom was able to come down and be with you, that is so nice:)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're doing great with Kenzie! Soooo cute. I am so jealous that you went to n' and out without me!!! I love that place. Every time we go to Arizona, we drive out-of-the-way just so we can go there. That's the only time I have a hamburger. Take care, and tell my sister "Hi" for me.
