okay, so i know i am not 9 months.. but this is my 9th month. anyway, this week was... fun.. i guess.
I went to my appointment only to find out that what i thought was minor braxton hicks all along was real labor. I was only dialated to a one but he noticed some other things, that i will spare everyone the details on, and he sent me over to the hospital to be monitored.
I was kinda freaked out cause as of my appt i was only 35.3 weeks along.. TOO early for a baby to come out. I was also scared cause i was at this appointment alone and ed was still at work. Anyway, long story short, they had me hooked up to the monitor for about 3 hours and gave me some meds to stop the contractions (which i never want again because it causes uncontrollable shaking)...the meds didn't really do anything different except make me in pain that i didn't have before, but i guess it made them less intense?? or so i was told...So they released me.
I just have to rest. If this happens again at my appt next week... they won't stop me and baby m will come.

35.3 weeks...with my "cool" hospital band.

That is always scary! I hated false alarms and not knowing what was happening...luckily for me I am 2 and 2 with water breaking so I know when to go to hospital and such :) Can't wait to hear the happy news that she is here!!!! rest up!!
ReplyDeleteScary! I'm glad things have turned out o.k. Do rest...you will need to have your sleep stores full!
ReplyDeleteand don't scare me with non-informational texts ever again. you hear me? :)
ReplyDeletewhere did you get so many cute non-maternity shirts?
Oh I hate that medicine! With Tristan I had pre-term labor at 29 weeks and yes I totally feel your pain about the crazy shakes! They stuck me on bedrest and he came 3 weeks early.
ReplyDeleteKeep me updated!!!
sorry sister.. next time i will be detailed so as to not worry you.. or mom.. my bad.. also.. thanks for your shirts.. they sure are comfy and i have LOVED not buying maternity clothes.. even if it means i get to wear cool "matching" outfits such as this one haha... i shouldn't go out in public like that but oh well.
ReplyDeleteOh girl you are getting closer and closer!! remember the difference between braxton hicks and real contractions is that you KNOW when it is the real thing. I didn't get it with Alyssa, but after having a "real" contraction I knew what they were talking about. Everything will go well. I can't wait to see the new little Marshall. Especially a girl one. There aren't too many of us out there!!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting!! Can't wait, oh and by the way, did I mention how GREAT you look being 9 months pregnant!! I normally hate people who pull off looking that good while pregnant (its a good thing I REALLY like you:)
ReplyDeleteYou don't look really great! I can't wait to see baby M!
ReplyDeleteI hope everything goes well and that there are no complications! That's crazy! You look AMAZING, though!
ReplyDeleteJust hoping for 37 weeks . . . 37 weeks. I lug you.
ReplyDeleteAhh! I am so sad that your baby wants out already. You REST! Lay in bed, suck it up, and keeping that baby cooking! Keep me posted!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds scary. Not that I really have anything to compare it to. Hopefully enough rest will be just what you need.
ReplyDeleteHang in there!! Your almost done! I can't wait to see a pic of your little baby!
ReplyDeleteoh wow! Good luck. I hope rest is all you need to keep that baby inside. Hope things are going well and they continue to be okay.
