Okay, for those of you who haven't heard, and who care...we received a call from border patrol telling us where we would be going. Ed will be stationed in Douglas, Arizona...(very southeast corner of Arizona).
Sadly, they didn't give us as much notice as we thought...ed has to report the 21st... yeah, NEXT WEEK!!!!!!! Now the worst part is I had already bought tickets to fly to visit my sister and her family to leave this saturday (not that i am sad i am coming mare.. i am thrilled!) but that means, this saturday is the last time i see ed until may 12th when he is done with training:(
So, I will be staying in Utah till May, while ed goes and trains in Artesia, New Mexico. I am trying to be okay with this whole 2 month separation stuff.. but if anyone knows me, you know i am a baby and can understand that i have been crying for 24 hours! It will be rough, but it will go by fast! I am excited we finally got the call and we know where we are going and can start making plans. i am proud of Ed and really excited for him..he's been going nuts with waiting for this call.

I love you so much Ed and will miss you even more so you better call every night!!!

'member when you and danielle were with me when ryan called me for the first time from china. yah. i'm super glad you and ed can talk while he's gone. you'll make it through. promise. can't wait to see you this saturday!
ReplyDeleteyeah, that will be rough. there will be a short, but awful separation period, but then you'll get used to it and survive. thanks for the email letting me know! we'll see you in april - we'll play with maren and be some sort of distraction. GOOD LUCK to both of you!!! julia
ReplyDeleteWOW! Crazy times Kelli. I didn't know you guys were planning on moving. Of course, I haven't talked to you in probably two years so I don't know how much of a shock that should be. Hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finding out where you're going and sorry about the separation period. It will only make it that much sweeter when you can finally go down there and be together again!
ReplyDeleteHey Kelli,
ReplyDeleteIt couldn't have been the Canadian border? We are trying to get Jonathan's U.S. residency and it was so impossible, that we had to hire a lawyer...going to see him tomorrow. I love my country, but the whole immigration process makes someone want to take a run at the border. :-) What will his position be? Maybe Ed can help us after his training. :-)
I know it'll be tough (moving is so hectic!), but as I look out at the snow I am somewhat jealous... =) Arizona will be great!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you! Good luck with the whole apart thing...it sucks. I'm glad I'll be able to see you before you move, we'll have to make sure it happens this time!
ReplyDeleteWon't it be nice to get outta the snow?:) Doesn't sound like you'll have to worry about much more o' that in sunny AZ! And you're always welcome @ Lk. Merwin if you want to cool off this summer:) Good luck with everything related to the big move...sounds like Ed got the better end o' that deal if you get to finish up while he's @ training:) Just remember absence makes the heart grow fonder & you'll appreciate each other a lot more in May...better than getting on each other's nerves after almost 9 yrs. o' marriage!
